Former Australian captain Shane Warne has chosen his 15-member Australian team for the ICC World Cup 2019 but has dropped Usman Khawaja, which is a big surprise for the fans.

All teams are gearing up for the selection of the World Cup team, because there is only 14 days left to submit the list of ICC team members. Australia is expected to announce the team in a week, with a lot of fans being devoted to the top order because Steve Smith and David Warner have become available for selection again.

By defeating both India and Pakistan in the recent bilateral series, last champions are reaching the right time.

The Australian veteran has chosen his team for the World Cup, but has left Khawaja despite the fact that he is in the best form in the recent past. Warne chose D'Arcy Short instead of Khawaja in the team.

Apart from this weird selection, the team is relatively hopeful. Warne has included three openers - Short, Aaron Finch and David Warner - and for the middle order they have picked Steve Smith and Shaun Marsh.

Leg spinners have gone with three all-rounders - Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoneyn and Indian series sensation Ashes Turner. He chose Alex Carrie for wicketkeeping.

When it comes to spin departments, both Adam Zampa and veteran Nathan Lyon have a place in Warne's World Cup team.

There is also a deadly bowling attack in the team as they have included Pat Cummins, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Za Richardson and Mitchell Starc. If Australia chooses these four bowlers then it will be one of the best bowling attack in the tournament.
