On the issue of employment, the Modi government has come up with a very ambitious plan, under which the government will give 5 lakh youths in various industries in different industries. Not only this, during this apprentice, there will be significant industrial training for the youth not only for employment, but also the government will give a stipend of Rs. 6000 per month to the handpicked youth. This is being said to be the largest internship program so far.
According to a report of Times of India, under this scheme, the government will include 5 lakh students (non-technical) in various colleges and educational institutions across the country for 6 months' skill program.
After this, these students will be given training in various industries and service sectors. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has given its approval to this plan.
This internship program has been named Shreyas-Scheme for Higher Education Youth for Apprenticeship and Skills. According to the news, the Higher Education Secretary in HRD says that the last date for registering for this internship program was March 25. Over 9.25 lakh students of 1,533 educational institutes have registered in this program. Most of the students who make the registration are from the states of South India and Maharashtra.
According to the Times of India news, under this internship program, the government will provide internships to the youth in different areas. This is the first of its kind in which non-technical degree courses students have been included. Under this program, students will get 6000 rupees each month instead of internship, and the government will also give 1500 rupees separately.
In this way Shreyas becomes India's largest skill development program. About 3 lakh students will start training under this program from July this year. At the same time there is a target to reach this figure of 5 lakhs after one year.
